At PNW KYNE we want to provide the best products possible while also protecting the environment around us. This is why we strive to find the most sustainable production methods available, and eco-friendly production partners.
Feel good about wearing your PNW KYNE gear knowing that it was made with our planet in mind. Our shirts, sweatshirts, and tank tops are sustainably manufactured in Los Angeles and printed using eco-friendly production methods.
Using environmentally friendly, bluesign® approved materials, most of the fabric for our shirts is dyed in Los Angeles and adheres to some of the strictest EPA regulations in the world.
More than seven times less water is used in this process than in standard garment production. All used water goes through a filtration system to ensure that no chemicals or dyes end up in our natural water systems.
Every opportunity is taken to reduce CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process. Solar energy powers the sewing and cutting facilities, while motion-sensor LED lighting and skylights are used throughout the buildings.
Almost no landfill is produced during the manufacturing process as most everything that can't be turned into a finished product is recycled in one way or another. Excess fabric is turned into things like baby bibs, stuffing for upholstery, or a number of other things.
Traditional garment printing inks use plastic. At PNW KYNE, we use eco-friendly water based inks to decorate our apparel as it is the most sustainable option available. Because they are free from harmful chemicals, water-based inks are safe not just for the environment but for printers to use as well.
At the end of the process, we end up with the softest fabrics, the best fit, and the longest lasting prints. The combed airlume cotton fabric provides for superior softness, breathability, and durability in our shirts and sweatshirts. Our cutting edge printing process ensures a vibrant print that will outlast the garment itself in most cases.
